Many of you have probably been hearing the talk about the “Heartbleed Bug” affecting numerous websites that use OpenSSL software. TruStar Federal Credit Union takes a very proactive approach with regards to the security of our electronic banking and website products to try to avert any possible security threats.
At this time, we have done our due diligence and contacted all of our technology partners that use OpenSSL software. It appears that our website and electronic services are secure.
As an abundance of caution and good practice, we encourage you to change your personal PINs and passwords on a regular basis to our electronic services. This can be done via our audio banking system, Members Connect, or through our online banking system, TruBank, under “Options.”
